Cusco, once the heart of the Inca Empire, brims with history and culture. You’ll find Spanish colonial buildings standing on Inca foundations, illustrating the city’s layered history.

Our knowledgeable guide will lead the tour. They’ll share intriguing facts and stories about the city. Expect to see prominent landmarks like the Qorikancha, the Inca Sun Temple that became the base of the Santo Domingo convent. Also, visit Sacsayhuaman, a vast fortress built of large stones that puzzle modern architects.

Our exploration will continue through the ancient streets. We’ll stop at key sites, including the bustling San Pedro market. This is where locals shop for everything from vegetables and meats to medicinal plants.

Your second day with Kawsay Peru Travel’s Machu Picchu Tour Package starts with an adventure. This will take you on an immersive journey into the heart of the Sacred Valley. Following breakfast at your hotel, our team will collect you at 9:00 in the morning. We set off to Pisac, a place deeply ingrained in Peru’s fascinating past.

Pisaq stands as a testament to native commerce. Here, the practice of “Exchange Transactions,” where goods were traded rather than currency, were once common. You’ll gain insights into this intriguing system as we explore the town. 

We’ll then visit the Pisac market, a vibrant locale bursting with locally crafted products. Should your tour coincide with a Sunday, you’ll experience the unique spectacle of a mass observed in Quechua, followed by Spanish. Watch as the town mayors attend the service with their attendants, resonating the air with the melodies from traditional “Pututos.”

We continue your cultural immersion with a customary Peruvian lunch. It is included in your package. This culinary adventure will fuel you for the next part of your Sacred Valley Tour: the imposing Ollantaytambo Fortress.

At the Ollantaytambo Fortress, your attention will be captured by the Temple of the Sun. This remarkable structure is built from gigantic stones, a testament to the Inca’s architectural prowess. Once a royal estate of Emperor Pachakuteq, the fortress later served as a stronghold for Manco Inca Yupanqui. This was during the Inca’s final rebellion against Spanish invaders.

After a day immersed in history and culture, we’ll return to Urubamba in the afternoon. Here, you’ll spend a peaceful night in a hotel in the Sacred Valley, processing the day’s unforgettable experiences.

Your third day with Kawsay Peru Travel’s Machu Picchu Tour Package introduces you to the natural splendors of the Sacred Valley. It’s also a day steeped in history as we explore this rich and diverse area.
After breakfast at your hotel, our team will arrive at 9:00 am to begin the day’s expedition.

We’ll drive to the Inca site at Moray, widely believed to have been a center for agricultural experimentation. It is a testament to the Incas’ advanced cultivation methods.We begin our walking tour at Moray, traversing the high savannah’s flat terrain. Our path takes us to Maras, a charming colonial village nestled in the highlands. Here, you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the stunning mountainous scenery before we descend into a picturesque gorge.

Your journey continues to the terraces that house the fascinating salt deposits of Salineras. These terraces, which have been in continuous use since the Pre-Inca period, are a sight to behold.

You’ll follow a rural path for a 45-minute walk to reach a river, where the landscape narrows. A further 40-minute walk brings you back to the Sacred Valley, specifically Pichingoto. Here a bridge awaits to help you cross the river to your vehicle. This six-hour walk on flat and downhill terrain concludes our invigorating walking tour.

The final leg of the day’s journey involves a train ride to Aguas Calientes. Our private transport takes you to the Ollantaytambo train station, where you’ll board the Vistadome train. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, we’ll escort you to your hotel, where you’ll spend the night anticipating the next day’s adventures.

Day four of the Machu Picchu Tour Package with Kawsay Peru Travel presents an extraordinary experience. You’ll be exploring the world-renowned citadel of Machu Picchu.

Start your day with a hearty breakfast at your hotel, followed by an enchanting sunrise at Machu Picchu. It is a sight that you’ll cherish forever. We’ll pick you up from your hotel at 5:30 am. We will go to the bus stand for a short 25-minute ride to the Machu Picchu citadel.

Machu Picchu Guided Tour:

Machu Picchu is  recognized as one of the seven new wonders of the world and a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is a marvel of construction, engineering, and a sanctuary for Inca Pachakuteq. Under the guidance of our expert tour guide, you’ll navigate the remarkable ruins and main streets of this ancient city. The intricately carved stone stairways, town squares, and the spiritual center of the world are all yours to explore.

After the guided tour, we’ll give you time to absorb the grandeur of Machu Picchu on your own. Wander leisurely around the Archaeological Site, letting the experience seep into your soul. 

You’ll also have time to engage in optional activities at your own expense. You might choose to climb Huayna Picchu for a panoramic view of the citadel. You can also walk to the Sun Gate. This is the point of entrance to those hiking the Inca Trail. 

Alternatively, you can visit the local museum or hot springs in Aguas Calientes.

In the afternoon, we’ll head to the Aguas Calientes railway station for our return journey to Cusco. Upon arrival at the Cusco station, we’ll drive you back to your hotel for a well-deserved rest. Please note that train schedules can change. We’ll make every effort to secure your tickets on the Vistadome train or an alternative service if necessary.

On day five of the Machu Picchu Tour Package with Kawsay Peru Travel, get ready for a journey to Rainbow Mountain. This adventure promises breathtaking views that are sure to captivate you. 

It is a spectacle of nature that you’ll remember forever. Our day starts early, as we pick you up from your Cusco hotel at around 3:30 am. We then embark on a journey towards Kollasuyo, the southern part of the ancient Quechua people’s lands.

Our first stop is in the Cusipata District, where we’ll take a 30-minute break for breakfast. From Cusipata, we continue to Fulawasipata, our trek’s starting point. Before we commence, we’ll gather for a brief meeting to prepare you for the upcoming adventure.

The trek begins at the foot of the Ausangate mountain range. It leads us on an approximate one-hour ascent to the highest point of the Rainbow Mountain. As we navigate the trail, you’ll have the opportunity to witness various types of South American camelids. These fascinating creatures, like Alpacas and Llamas, are the relatives of the camel, and we’ll observe them in their natural habitat.

Reaching the red hill is a sight to behold, as the vibrant colors of Rainbow Mountain sprawl before your eyes. You’ll have time to immerse yourself in the mesmerizing landscape and capture unforgettable photos.

The journey continues with a one-hour descent into flat terrain, leading us back to where our walk began. Our driver will be waiting to drive us to the Cusipata District. Here we’ll enjoy a well-earned lunch over the course of an hour.

Finally, we’ll return to Cusco, arriving at approximately 3:30 pm, concluding another unforgettable day of your Machu Picchu Tour Package. You’ll spend the night in your Cusco hotel, resting for the adventures of the following day.

On the sixth and final day of your Machu Picchu Tour Package with Kawsay Peru Travel, it’s time to bid farewell. You’ll be saying goodbye to the enchanting city of Cusco.  After you’ve savored a leisurely breakfast at your hotel, our representative will come to assist you with your departure arrangements.

Our representative will meet you at your hotel and accompany you to the Cusco Airport. We make it a priority to ensure your transfer is smooth and hassle-free. This leaves you free to reflect on the unforgettable experiences you’ve enjoyed throughout your Cusco Tour Package.
